Gp Microteams

We are improving the way we allocate and deliver your appointments.

When you book a routine GP appointment you will be given the first available appointment with your named GP.

We want to ensure you receive a better continuity of care so our intent is you see your named GP for your routine appointments.

We have organised our GPs into teams, this means that if your named GP is unavailable, you may be offered contact with a member of their micro team.

The exception to this is if your named GP is going to be away for some time, for example on maternity leave, in which case their patients will be shared across BVM.

There is no micro team / continuity of care for urgent, same day appointments. These are allocated based on clinical need on the day specified.

Please see the table below which shows the GP Microteams.
