Substance / Drug misuse
Substance abuse or drug misuse is when a substance is used or taken which may be harmful to the person or others.
This may be the taking of illegal drugs or the misuse, or over-usage, of prescription or over the counter medication.
Misuse can arise when taking any medication such as
- prescription medication
- pain relief
- opioid drugs
