Adult ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) referrals
Patients who would like to be referred for an assessment for ASD can be referred for NHS Assessment and Diagnosis via the following services:
- AWP Bristol Autism Spectrum Service -BASS (referrals from 17.5 years)
- RTC Psychiatry UK (18 years plus)
- RTC Clinical Partners (16 years plus) Please note Clinical Partners provide assessment only
How to start a referral request:
- Patients who wish to be referred must first visit each of the website (links below) to ensure that they have read and finalise their decision. (Patients are only able to be referred to one service at the time of referral.)
- Complete the relevant patient questionnaire for your chosen provider and send it to us to be saved on your patient note.
- It is now time to book an appointment with your GP to discuss being referred for an ASD assessment. If your GP feels that a referral is appropriate, they will organise for a referral form signed by them, to be sent to the relevant service provider along with any attachments as necessary.
Please ensure you return all your completed patient forms to BVM prior to booking your GP appointment.
